Internal Polling Devastates Democrats
Yes, the Democrats lost the election, yes, top leadership will probably be arrested soon, yes, their Terrorism and Jobs positions backfired so badly it looks like the political error or all time BUT NONE of that really matters to seasoned (jaded), professional (crooked), lifetime politicians like Schumer and Pelosi. What matters to them is secret internal polling.
That’s right, the real currency in the political business, is inside data — on what voters are thinking – before everybody else knows it. Pelosi and Schumer know this because they have been around a long time; they’ve seen issues arise inside those polling reports, only to crop up later on – in the voters collective mind – and then even later — in the voter booth. That’s why they do this polling, guard the data like plutonium – and pay through the nose for pollsters who can read the tea leaves accurately once the data is collected.
I wrote here a few weeks ago the Democrats had received some bad internal polling numbers and now it looks like I hit it right on the head. I didn’t have a deep throat — I had a calculator from Texas Instruments. Pelosi literally did a u-turn a few weeks ago and began DISCOURAGING impeachment and the Russia Narrative. Pelosi is a snake in the grass and certainly does not have the country’s interest in her change of heart. Schumer and Pelosi don’t reverse course unless they have a gun to their heads, or secret internal polling that scares them.
What scared them? I’ll let Josh Kraushaar of the National Journal explain, this is from a piece he just published describing a new, secret, internal poll, that the Democratic leadership has been digesting for weeks now:
NJ — The poll surveyed working-class white voters in pivotal districts that Democrats are targeting in the midterms. Despite the Trump turmoil in Washington, Republicans held a 10-point lead on the generic ballot (43-33 percent) among these blue-collar voters. Democrats hold a whopping 61 percent disapproval rating among these voters, with only 32 percent approving. Even Trump’s job-approval rating is a respectable 52 percent with the demographic in these swing districts.
These numbers could be why Pelosi is having trouble speaking coherently in public lately, Trump may not be an aberration, he may be a product of Democratic policies, politics and poor messaging! Kraushaar continues:
NJ — Democrats maintain that with robust economic messaging, they can move those numbers in their favor. But the results show how difficult that task will be. By a stunning 35-point margin, blue-collar white voters believe that Republicans will be better at improving the economy and creating jobs than Democrats. Under Trump, the economy has been growing—even in the disadvantaged parts of the country. Between promising job creation and Trump’s own paeans to blue-collar work, it’s hard to see the GOP numbers changing significantly.
Big Republican leads in traditional Dim territory, stubborn negative attitudes toward the Dim Party among this swing electorate, that even push polling can’t budge – all this and more is proof — as if the election was not enough — that these changes are real and Pelosi has managed the greatest collapse in Party history.
AND if they think that poll was bad, they should poll Jews and Independents, they’ll see the same trouble.
Pelosi and Schumer have no one to blame but themselves.
They supported Obama in every single bit of his crazy agenda; an agenda that institutionalized stupidity (Iran Deal) and that stalled the country for 8 years. The problem for Schumer and Pelosi now, and what they really consider a tragedy, is that the public no longer blames the Republicans and Bush for MOST of the country’s problems. Heading into Obama’s first term, they were winning this split, not like Trump is now, but they had a 1 run lead in the ninth, they weren’t just in the game, they were leading.
This new poll puts them down in this key demo by 35 points!
Thirty-five points down is not in the game, it’s a collapse, a collapse I have been predicting for 2 years, and is now here.
What will the Democrats do? This new slogan is not it, I can tell you that, it’s so bad, I can’t even remember it.
