I told them so…Democratic Party leaders would do better to read my blog than hold all those secret meetings
Over two years ago, when it would have mattered, I advised then candidate Hillary Clinton and candidate Martin O’Malley to abandon the attack campaign model and present a new tax plan (written by me) as an alternative to the existing corporate tax plan. I thought they needed meat in the message and I was right, they did.
What I didn’t know was they weren’t counting on winning that way.
Now, Party leaders are in a fine kettle of fish. The opponent, Mr. President to you and I, has all the issues, neatly netted up at his feet. If they cooperate with his MAGA agenda, they look bad, like losers, if they don’t they look worse, like idiots obstructing progress. Nancy Pelosi must be grinding her molars in her sleep.
Remember as you read this piece below from The Hill, they are a Democratic Party narrative message relay machine, so if they are saying there is a tremor, it’s probably an earthquake.
The Hill — Frustrated Democrats hoping to elevate their election fortunes have a resounding message for party leaders: Stop talking so much about Russia.
Democratic leaders have been beating the drum this year over the ongoing probes into the Trump administration’s potential ties to Moscow, taking every opportunity to highlight the saga and forcing floor votes designed to uncover any business dealings the president might have with Russian figures.
But rank-and-file Democrats say the Russia-Trump narrative is simply a non-issue with district voters, who are much more worried about bread-and-butter economic concerns like jobs, wages and the cost of education and healthcare.
