Intelligence leaders DENY Trump pressured them – Democratic collapse coming – Washington Post degenerates to a high school level publication
The Democratic Party gambled heavily they could paint Trump with the brush of Russian collusion — and now the dice have rolled “Craps” on them.
A blanket denial anyone EVER asked them to do anything inappropriate from these men — is a flat rebuttal of ALL the badly-sourced stories running in the Washington Post and the NYT these past weeks — that such pressure HAD been applied. I’m sure those two “news” organizations anyway, will come up with a new lie tomorrow.
I’m a first amendment advocate as a journalist, but the Washington Post has become nothing but a high school level newspaper these days, with so much bias in their reporting, even normal people understand they have an ax to grind.
They devote the entire news front to attacking Trump; they use multiple stories from one reporter on the same front page, then fill it with unnamed sources, anonymous quotes, and paraphrasing. Usually, when these stories are refuted a few day later, they never bother to follow up and admit that. The WaPo and NYT editors, against all journalist ethics also line up editorials and news coverage to hammer their narrow points, while other real news is exploding all around them, which they miraculously do not notice.
It’s embarrassing really.
When people ask why the WaPo and NYT don’t cover the other point of view – I can’t answer them, except to explain that when I ran newspapers, it wasn’t like that, we AWAYS covered the other point of view – right in the lede.
Anyway, here is the news, from Fox, a news organization that looks schizophrenic in their coverage to me right now, but at least puts out some version of everything they get into the newsroom.
Fox News — Two top members of President Trump’s intelligence team declined Wednesday to discuss allegations the president pressured them to end or downplay the FBI’s investigation into whether his campaign colluded with Russia, while issuing a blanket denial that they were ever told to do anything inappropriate.
