I Finally Understand Nancy Pelosi – she needs to resign
I heard the longest explanation yet by Minority Leader Pelosi, elaborating in detail — her philosophy concerning economics – in a live interview TV show response this week; to what was supposed to be a “softball” question from a planted shill, and truly it astounded me.
I had always presumed, before watching this interview program, the Minority Leader possessed a sophisticated knowledge of core economic principles – and that she led a rebellion against them over the years with various Republican factions – for a variety of reasons related to patronage, constituency, power retention, and counter weighting the conservative factions in Congress; BUT did basically understand the fundamentals of Capitalism she was eviscerating.
In the interview, Pelosi actually said the sentence out loud; “We (Democrats) are Capitalists.”
That unfortunately is not true.
How do I know? Because she then went on a 10-minute propaganda tirade, to elaborate her answer, which tripped erroneously on every known underlying principle of how an economy actually works.
Her definition here:
of productivity (and other things) is exactly 180 degrees wrong. Watch and cringe.
The ridiculous, naïve, illogical, simplistic picture in her head about what Capitalism is, and how it works, explains a lot of the trouble we’ve had as a country for 20 years.
This interview is evidence Ms. Pelosi has either switched sides and is secretly working for Trump — by making the Dems look like idiots, OR, has been replaced by a communist body snatcher type alien, OR, is thinking about doing a children’s science show, OR, my favorite and the most likely — Never knew a damn thing at all about economics, all along.
Do the right thing Nancy. It’s time for you to step aside as a major Party leader.
Admit the Party is in it’s worst crisis in 100 years, might be under criminal indictment soon, AND also might lose it’s charter for fixing a presidential primary, is in fund raising hell, and therefore for these reasons and many more — needs an entirely new direction.
Resign as Minority leader if you can’t leave altogether, these investigations are going to be brutal for the people you championed at the pinnacles of power, although you appear to be personally clean, somehow.
But that isn’t the point. The future is, and the Democratic Party doesn’t have one with you at the helm.
