I don’t understand Obama

I don’t understand Obama

I can flip from outrage to admiration with the President not only in a single day but I actually can disagree fundamentally with him on an issue – and on another level — AGREE with him, Case in point, yesterday, when he made the high moral ground on immigration reform (which he occupies), dirty with the dog tired charge of another partisan conspiracy, this one involving the unknowable future opinion of an unconfirmed human SCOTUS candidate.

It’s the other side of Mr. Obama I don’t understand. His clarity of thought, careful preparation of an issue with the correct historical perspectives, his vision about how to inspire others to see his paradigm,– each and every one of these things I see as natural talents he possesses and even masters – and yet – there’s something else also.

Something which disconnects when the camera’s aren’t rolling because the execution behind these ideas and concepts is pathetic, and measly, it is so looow, you wonder about the sincerity of the author.

This sounds harsh, but Obama has said a lot of things I took as truth and when he got around to those things again, the story was the same, but nothing behind the scenes had changed.

I don’t know why this is.

I can’t explain the Iran Nuclear deal or our nearly disastrous pull out from Afghanistan.

Why didn’t we take the Syrian air cap deal with Erdogam? Why didn’t he allow Heidi Heitkamp to modify Obamacare after the bill passed? Why happened to the Obamacare implementation? Why no pipeline?

I could go on and on but this President has had more opportunities to really change things than any in modern history and even though his supporters will cry for decades that he was stymied, this is the one job in the world, that nonsense doesn’t cut it in.

When you are the President of the United States, people don’t want excuses, they want leadership that gets the job done.
