The hell with the NFL

First they cover up widespread drug use, spousal abuse and even brain injury to their players. All the while getting richer and richer on an anti-trust waiver no business should have.

Then they deny college athletes who play for the college/pro training system – any compensation at all, not even the injured ones! The NFL will claim this was the NCAA’s fault but that’s baloney, if the NFL endorses compensation, it will happen.

Of course, all that would be all O.K. (just kidding) if they had changed the Redskins name, which is clearly racist and/or stripped the Patriots of their title for cheating, (twice) but they’ve done neither.

The hell with the NFL, I’ve decided to give up watching football. That’s how they make their money on me and I don’t want them to be able to do that anymore.

I love John Madden and consider him a gentlemen and once the NFL hired him as a top advisor I thought they might go in a new direction — but that appears to be nothing but false hope.

I wrote this two years ago before players being paid $20 million a year began disrespecting the American flag on purpose! But the point remains the same, in fact, I think my reasons are more material.
