NYT — Bill trashes Hillary

I like Bill Clinton and I have written hundreds of articles and blog pieces and opinion pieces that back this up. I still like Bill Clinton.

But his decision about how to handle himself after the presidency has been a disaster, it’s like being a good president wasn’t enough for him and I must say, if that’s true, there’s something psychologically wrong with him. I hope all of this mess has made it clear to him he isn’t protecting the legacy of what his presidency created, he’s destroying it.

I hope he understands that. This little tidbit from the NYT is nauseating, I mean the while article was nauseating, what with the Clintons accepting over $100 million from one donor for a foundation they basically used to promote her presidency and their return to power. I hope America sees through all this — in time.

The paragraph below speaks for itself. Allowing just what this paragraph describes, is a mistake Bill Clinton should never have made and I think Hillary Clinton is the reason he did it.

From the NYT — Giustra, 57, a Vancouver, B.C.-based mogul whose eclectic business interests include founding Lionsgate Entertainment and investing in gold mines and an olive oil company, has come to symbolize a relatively new but substantial category of Clinton backers: foreign donors who are not legally eligible to contribute to U.S. political candidates but grew close to the Clintons through the charity.

I always said Bill Clinton was a pioneer, but I was hoping for something legal and ethical after he left the White House.
