The loony liberal echo machine is already hard at work distorting the arguments around the president’s deal with Iran. Since I am a critic let me be clear:
I am not against this deal because I’m a warmonger.
On the contrary, I believe a deal with Iran raises both the risk of conventional war and the risk of nuclear war, if the president is entitled to his opinion of appeasement, I am entitled to one opposing it, especially since history is on my side.
I am not against this deal because I’m blind to Israel’s faults.
On the contrary, I believe a deal with Iran raises the risk of war with Israel, something that will strengthen the right wing there, not weaken it. This will happen because of the added risk of nuclear war presented by this deal. The president is entitled to his opinion on appeasement — as is Netanyahu — and Netanyahu will act to protect Israel, I am sure of it.
I am not against this deal because I’m a racist.
I resent the loony liberal left calling me a racist for opposing the president on this and furthermore I think it shows the weakness of their argument. If just the racist skin heads opposed this deal, well then I’d re-look at my position but I’m not alone here, every important Arab ally of the U.S., a majority of Congress, half the Democratic Jews in America and obviously a whole lot of them in Israel (Netanyahu came from behind to win) all disagree with the president on this – are we all racists? Only 38% of the public according to yesterdays ABC/Washington Post poll support the president’s handling of Iran and 61% want Congressional approval of a deal. Is the same electorate that made him president twice – now racist?
I am not against this deal because I’m against a 2-state solution.
On the contrary, I believe 2-state solution is a must and Netanyahu is an idiot for saying otherwise but this deal with Iran significantly raises the risk of an Iranian war with Israel, something that will destroy all hope of a 2-state solution, this idea unfortunately will be a casualty of this deal, like an inevitable unintended consequence that will occur, once this war begins and the populations re-shuffle politically. All his will happen because of the added risk of nuclear war presented by this deal, diplomacy is definitely worse than war when conducted this way since it causes such big wars when it fails. The president’s announcement he petulantly will hold Netanyahu to that stupid statement rings hollow and fabricated since the Ayatollah chants “Death to America” as an opening Psalm at every speech he makes and the president conveniently ignores that as fodder for domestic consumption. Netanyahu’s statement wasn’t?
I am against this deal because I do not believe you can trust the word of a government that has the ideological and systemic deficiencies the Iranian government does.
I am against this deal because it allows the Iranians to build a nuclear bomb and that is bad for the world and the region.
Those are my reasons and I’m willing to debate them anytime, anywhere, with any reasonable person not trying to slander my character to win the argument.
